Islamabad,— Outgoing Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Pakistan, Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Al-Zaabi, paid a farewell call on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s House.
The meeting was attended by Defence Minister Khawaja Mohammad Asif, Minister of State Bilal Azhar Kiyani, SAPM Tariq Fatemi, and Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch.
Prime Minister Sharif congratulated the Ambassador on completing his tenure and lauded his role in strengthening Pakistan–UAE relations. He praised the leadership of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for advancing close bilateral ties, citing recent high-level visits, the Pakistan-UAE Joint Ministerial Commission, and the agreement on visa abolition for diplomatic and official passport holders as key milestones.
The Prime Minister expressed hope that the upcoming official visit of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Pakistan would give fresh momentum to bilateral cooperation.
Ambassador Al-Zaabi, who served nine years in Pakistan, expressed deep appreciation for the government and people of Pakistan, noting the enduring fraternal bonds between the two nations. He pledged to continue supporting stronger ties between Pakistan and the UAE in the future.
