IG Punjab Meets Police Personnel and Families, Orders Immediate Resolution of Issues

LAHORE, Pakistan: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Abdul Kareem met police personnel and their family members at the Central Police Office on Monday and directed senior officers to take immediate steps to address their concerns and provide relief.
During the meeting, the provincial police chief listened to a range of issues raised by serving and retired personnel as well as their families, issuing on-the-spot instructions to the relevant departments for prompt action.
According to an official statement, IG Punjab directed the Additional Inspector General Punjab to review the request of Office Superintendent Asif Ali regarding the cancellation of his transfer. He also instructed the Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Welfare to process a request for medical financial assistance submitted by Head Constable Muhammad Saifal.
In another case, the AIG Welfare was directed to ensure financial relief for the father of martyred Traffic Assistant Sub-Inspector (TASI) Naseer Ahmad following his application for assistance.
The police chief also referred six transfer-related requests to the Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sheikhupura for review and appropriate action.
In addition, Abdul Kareem issued necessary directions on several applications concerning disciplinary matters, administrative issues, promotions, and employee welfare.
The IG Punjab reaffirmed the department’s commitment to addressing the legitimate concerns of police personnel and their families, emphasizing that the welfare of the police force remains a key priority for the organization.
