LAHORE: The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has extended office working hours and cancelled weekly holidays for its officers and staff in a bid to ensure the achievement of revenue collection targets for the ongoing fiscal year.
According to a PRA spokesperson, the revised arrangements apply to all PRA offices, including the Authority’s headquarters, as part of efforts to accelerate revenue collection and strengthen operational efficiency during the closing days of the fiscal year.
A notification issued on the directives of PRA Chairman Moazzam Iqbal Sipra states that all PRA offices will remain operational from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. until June 30, 2026.
Under the new schedule, weekly holidays on Saturdays and Sundays for PRA officers have also been suspended to facilitate uninterrupted revenue collection activities.
The spokesperson said the decision has been taken to further expedite tax collection efforts and ensure the successful achievement of the Authority’s revenue targets before the end of the fiscal year.
The extended working hours are expected to enhance service delivery, improve coordination with taxpayers and support the Authority’s ongoing efforts to maximize revenue generation for the province.
