Islamabad – The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has reported that the death toll from recent torrential rains, floods, and landslides across Pakistan has risen to 907, while 1,044 people have been injured.
According to NDMA figures:
Punjab: 223 dead, 654 injured
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 502 dead, 218 injured
Sindh: 58 dead, 78 injured
Balochistan: 26 dead, 5 injured
Gilgit-Baltistan: 41 dead, 52 injured
Azad Kashmir: 38 dead
Islamabad: 9 dead
The authority further stated that rains and floods have damaged more than 7,848 houses, while 6,180 livestock have perished.
Rescue and relief operations are ongoing in the affected areas, though authorities have warned of the risk of further rainfall in the coming days.
