Islamabad — Security forces said they killed a total of 32 militants during joint operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan over the past 24 hours, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported.
According to ISPR, 24 militants belonging to the group Fitna al-Khawarij were killed in multiple operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while a separate operation in Nushki, Balochistan, resulted in the deaths of eight militants affiliated with Fitna al-Hind. Several militant hideouts were effectively targeted during the operations.
ISPR stated that a large quantity of weapons, ammunition and improvised explosive devices were recovered from the militants and subsequently destroyed by the forces. The agency said the operations aim to improve law-and-order conditions in the region and degrade the militants’ ability to conduct attacks.
ISPR called on the public to continue cooperating with security forces and to promptly share any suspicious information with authorities. The agency added that the situation is under review and that further operations will be conducted as required to secure the area.
No immediate comment was available from local political representatives or civil administration. Further updates will follow as authorities release more information.
