Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Calls on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif; Both Sides Reaffirm Strong Bilateral Ties and Regional Solidarity

Islamabad — His Excellency Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al‑Ahmad Al‑Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait, called on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif today.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Federal Ministers for Defence, Commerce, National Food Security & Research, Communications, Maritime Affairs, and Petroleum, the Adviser to the Prime Minister, and senior government officials accompanied the Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister warmly welcomed the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister and conveyed best wishes to the Amir of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al‑Ahmad Al‑Jaber Al‑Sabah, and the Crown Prince, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al‑Khaled Al‑Hamad Al‑Mubarak Al‑Sabah. Highlighting the longstanding fraternal relations between Pakistan and Kuwait, he said the two brotherly countries have stood together through thick and thin.
Discussing the regional situation, the Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s full solidarity with the leadership and people of Kuwait and strongly condemned the attacks against Kuwait and other Gulf states amid the ongoing conflict. He said Pakistan is playing its part as an honest and sincere mediator and facilitator in regional peace efforts and thanked Kuwait for supporting these initiatives.
On bilateral ties, the Prime Minister expressed satisfaction at the positive trajectory of relations and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to deepen cooperation in trade, investment, energy, agriculture, information technology, maritime affairs, and human resource development. He also expressed appreciation to the Kuwaiti government for generously hosting the Pakistani community and acknowledged the community’s contribution to Kuwait’s socio‑economic development.
Foreign Minister Al‑Sabah conveyed greetings and best wishes from the Kuwaiti leadership and reaffirmed Kuwait’s commitment to strengthen cooperation across mutually beneficial areas. He expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s role — including that of the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister & Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir — in promoting dialogue and diplomacy to resolve the current crisis and restore peace. He thanked Pakistan’s leadership and people for their solidarity and support.
Both sides underscored the importance of continued consultation and coordination on matters of mutual interest and agreed to exchange delegations soon to carry discussions forward. The Prime Minister reiterated his invitation to His Highness the Crown Prince of Kuwait to undertake an official visit to Pakistan at a mutually convenient time.
