Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited the headquarters of the National Emergencies Operation Centre (NEOC), where he was given a detailed briefing on preparations made to deal with potential disasters during the monsoon season.
During the briefing, the Field Marshal commended the efforts of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to strengthen the country’s capacity to respond to natural disasters. He emphasized the protection of infrastructure, effective institutional coordination, and timely response as key components of disaster preparedness.
He directed the concerned authorities to ensure, at all costs, the protection of human lives and critical national infrastructure so that losses could be minimized in the event of any emergency.
