LAHORE: University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Masood Rabbani, along with Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof. Dr. Kamran Ashraf and Dean Faculty of Biosciences Prof. Dr. Habib-ur-Rehman, planted saplings in front of the Vice-Chancellor’s Office as part of a tree plantation campaign to promote greenery on the occasion of Pakistan’s Independence Day.
A number of faculty members and administrative officers, including Principal Officer City Campus Prof. Dr. Muhammad Azam and Director Students Affairs Dr. Muhammad Oneeb, were also present on the occasion.
Speaking at the event, VC Prof. Dr. Masood Rabbani said that a large number of saplings would be planted across all UVAS campuses under the campaign to promote a greener and healthier environment.
He emphasized the importance of tree plantation and collective efforts to protect the environment, adding that the campaign would contribute to making the university campuses more green, attractive and environmentally friendly.
