TORONTO — News of the sudden death of popular PUBG Mobile content creator Farooq Ahmed, known as “YT,” has left the gaming world and his millions of fans in mourning. He died in a motorcycle accident in Calgary, Alberta, according to a social media post from his close friends.
Farooq Ahmed built a large following through his PUBG Mobile videos and gaming content. His YouTube channel, “Farooq Ahmad YT,” had around 925,000 subscribers, while he had roughly 85,000 followers on Instagram. He was especially known for showcasing expensive UC purchases, rare items, and weapon upgrades in his videos.
PUBG Mobile posted a tribute on X, saying the community had lost one of its own and thanking Farooq for the passion, kindness, and unforgettable moments he brought. Several well-known gaming creators also paid tribute to him on social media.
