MUMBAI — Bollywood’s popular action-thriller franchise “Race” is back in the news. Saif Ali Khan led the first two films, while Salman Khan took over the lead role in the third installment. Now big news has emerged about the franchise’s fourth part: reports suggest Aamir Khan may play the lead in “Race 4,” with young stars Siddharth Malhotra and Tiger Shroff also expected to join the cast.
According to a Pinkvilla report, all three actors have heard the script and liked the story. Aamir Khan reportedly liked the film’s concept in particular and isn’t limiting himself to acting — he is said to be working with the writers to refine the script. However, the film is still in its early stages, and no official casting announcement has been made. The makers reportedly want to deliver a large-scale thriller story never seen before in Indian cinema, aiming to take the franchise in a fresh new direction.
Producer Ramesh Taurani has begun pre-production work on “Race 4,” while Vijay Krishna Acharya’s name has surfaced as a possible director — he previously worked with Aamir Khan on the 2013 blockbuster “Dhoom 3,” which grossed around ₹558 crore worldwide. If all three actors do appear together, it would mark a major casting shift for the “Race” franchise.
