Islamabad Police Intensify Citywide Crackdown, Check Over 270 Individuals in Search Operations; SSP Operations Visits Faisal Mosque

ISLAMABAD —Report by Muhammad Saleem   Following special directives from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, Islamabad Police has intensified search and combing operations across various areas of the federal capital to curb crime and crack down on criminal elements. The operations were conducted under the supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza, monitored by the respective zonal SPs. A total of 270 individuals, 99 households, 37 shops, six hotels, 144 motorcycles, and 30 vehicles were thoroughly checked, while eight suspicious individuals and nine motorcycles were shifted to the police station for further verification.
Qazi Ali Raza said the objective of the operations is to tighten the noose around criminal elements and enhance security across the city, adding that Islamabad Police continues indiscriminate action against criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers.
In a related development, SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza visited Faisal Mosque and G-6 Imam Bargah on the occasion of Friday prayers, meeting with police officers deployed on duty and directing them to carry out their responsibilities with full alertness, including a comprehensive crackdown against suspicious individuals and criminal elements. He emphasized that officers must perform their duties with honesty and integrity and treat citizens with respect and courtesy during checking procedures, stressing that the protection of lives and property remains the department’s top priority, and appealed to the public to cooperate with police during security checks.
