RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan has appointed veteran diplomat Dr. Manal Hassan Radwan as advisor and special envoy for negotiations and peace efforts. With 25 years of diplomatic experience, Dr. Radwan will now represent Saudi Arabia in bilateral and multilateral peace talks at global forums. Saudi Ambassador to the US, Princess Reema bint Bandar, hailed the appointment as “a proud milestone for the Kingdom’s women” on social media.
Dr. Radwan previously served as Minister Plenipotentiary at the Foreign Ministry and has held key posts at Saudi missions to the United Nations, Washington and Cairo. She has also headed the Kingdom’s negotiating team at the Foreign Ministry, focusing on regional security and nuclear diplomacy, and led the Saudi delegation at a UN conference on the Palestinian two-state solution in May 2025. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from George Washington University and a second master’s and PhD in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution from George Mason University.
