SWAT: The University of Agriculture Swat (UoAS) and Pathfinder Care Foundation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote student welfare, skills development, youth empowerment and community engagement.

The MoU was signed at a ceremony at the University of Agriculture Swat by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Dawood Jan and Pathfinder Care Foundation CEO Brig. (Retd.) Mujahid Alam.

Under the agreement, the two organizations will collaborate on joint programmes, awareness campaigns, training sessions, workshops, seminars and other initiatives aimed at benefiting students and local communities.

Speaking at the ceremony, Brig. Mujahid Alam appreciated the university’s cooperation and said the foundation was committed to working with UoAS in the areas of youth development, education, community welfare, skills enhancement and social responsibility.

As part of the collaboration, Pathfinder Care Foundation also announced plans to donate a valuable collection of books to the university.

Prof. Dr. Dawood Jan welcomed the initiative, saying the contribution would help promote reading, research and academic excellence among students.

The Vice Chancellor said universities had a responsibility not only to impart academic knowledge but also to develop skilled, responsible and productive citizens. He said partnerships with organizations such as Pathfinder Care Foundation could provide students with practical exposure and opportunities to develop professional and leadership skills while encouraging them to play a positive role in society.

He expressed hope that the MoU would lead to meaningful and sustainable initiatives benefiting students, youth and the wider community.

Faculty members, administrative officers, representatives of Pathfinder Care Foundation and students attended the ceremony. Participants welcomed the partnership and expressed optimism that it would create new opportunities for the personal, professional and social development of students and communities.

The University of Agriculture Swat reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening cooperation with public, private and development-sector organizations to expand educational and training opportunities, promote research and innovation, and enable young people to contribute effectively to the socio-economic development of the country.
