iFeel Foundation Breaks Ground on Twin Cities’ First Free Children’s Hospital in Islamabad

The iFeel Foundation held a groundbreaking ceremony on September 13, 2026, at the Jinnah University campus in Islamabad, laying the foundation stone for a new children’s hospital — set to become the twin cities’ first fully free-of-charge treatment facility for children.
According to the foundation, the hospital aims to provide specialized medical care to children whose families cannot afford treatment due to financial constraints. The project was launched on a joint platform bringing together doctors, business leaders, government representatives, and civil society members.

For the past 18 years, iFeel Foundation has run its “School Out” program, offering educational opportunities to underprivileged children. With this new hospital, the foundation is now extending its mission to healthcare, offering free, quality treatment along with specialized maternal and child health clinics, as well as diagnostic and medical testing services.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Tahir Siddiqui, Chairperson of iFeel Foundation, said that the lack of quality healthcare facilities has been felt for years, and that this hospital will play a vital role in filling that gap.
Naeem Burney, CEO of Metrics Group, spoke of the Burney family and Burney Group’s long-standing commitment to philanthropic work, noting their collaborations with organizations including Akhuwat, Edhi, Khidmat, Indus, and The Citizens Foundation (TCF). He also announced the donation of land for the hospital, citing the absence of a quality treatment facility for children in Rawalpindi and Islamabad as the motivation.
Ms. Saima Syed, CEO of iFeel Foundation, outlined the organization’s ongoing initiatives, which include free education, medical camps, orphan sponsorship, Ramadan ration support, and nutritional assistance programs.
