Knife Attack on Ahmadi Youth in Faisalabad, Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Condemns Incident; Voice of Germany Raises Concern Over Government Inaction

Berlin (Report): The wave of violence and hate campaigns against the Ahmadi community in Pakistan shows no sign of ending. In the latest incident, an Ahmadi youth, identified as Hamid Javed, was allegedly subjected to a knife attack in the Kharrianwala area of Faisalabad at around 5:00 p.m. on Monday, September 21, 2026.

According to the available information, an unidentified bearded man stopped Hamid, asked his name and then allegedly told him, “You are a Qadiani,” before immediately taking out a knife and attacking him. When Hamid raised an alarm, two passers-by, Rehmat Ali son of Sardar Ali and Javed Akbar son of Syed Ali, came to his assistance. During the struggle, the attacker struck Hamid in the abdomen, tearing his shirt and leaving an injury mark on his body.

When the two men intervened, the attacker fled with the weapon, allegedly saying, “I will never forgive you; I will kill you.”

According to a press release issued by the Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya, this is the third such incident reported in recent days. An Ahmadi man was allegedly shot dead in Mandi Bahauddin, a father and son were targeted and injured in a shooting in Sargodha, and now Hamid Javed has been attacked with a knife.

An FIR, No. 1670/26, has been registered at Kharrianwala Police Station, Faisalabad District. The e-tag number of the case is KHW-22/09/2026-5845.

Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Pakistan has described the attack not as an isolated incident but as part of an ongoing series of incidents targeting Ahmadis. The community has called upon the relevant authorities to take immediate and effective action, bring those responsible to justice and prevent further attacks.

Against this backdrop, Voice of Germany’s Irfan Ahmed Khan has also expressed concern over the situation. According to him, although FIRs have been registered in recent incidents, there has so far been no information regarding the arrest of any suspect.

He said that preventing hate campaigns and ensuring the protection of citizens are the responsibility of state institutions. He further observed that incidents of killings and attempted attacks against Ahmadis have repeatedly been reported following the appearance of provocative posters and banners at different times.

Irfan Ahmed Khan also referred to the welfare services provided by Ahmadi community organizations based in Germany, including Al-Nusrat and Humanity First, and questioned why, despite religious freedom and freedom of expression being recognized as fundamental principles in the free world, effective measures for the protection of Ahmadis in Pakistan do not appear to be visible.

He called upon the government to ensure transparent investigations into such incidents, take action against those responsible, and provide peace and security to all citizens without discrimination.
