Palestine Highlights PM Shehbaz Sharif’s Remarks on Martyrdom of Gaza’s Children

Islamabad: The State of Palestine has featured Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s heartfelt remarks on the martyrdom of innocent Palestinian children in Gaza on its official social media platform, “State of Palestine.”
According to the State of Palestine, PM Shehbaz Sharif highlighted before the world’s conscience the atrocities inflicted on Palestinian women, children and the elderly. A significant part of his address focused on the tragic martyrdom of Palestinian children, including Hind Rajab and Wafa Aqila.
The prime minister said generations of Palestinians, particularly women, children and the elderly, have faced occupation, displacement, suffering and death. He recalled that last year he had recounted the harrowing story of an innocent Palestinian girl, Hind Rajab, who was mercilessly shot by Israeli soldiers.
PM Shehbaz Sharif said this year another tragedy has weighed on hearts across the world — the anguished cries of eight-year-old Wafa Aqila’s grieving mother, after the girl lost her life in senseless aggression on what should have been her first day of school, but instead became the last day of her life.
He questioned whether a child born in Gaza does not have the same right to life, a future and dreams as a child born anywhere else in the world. He said the tragedies of Hind Rajab, Wafa Aqila and countless others will continue to echo in history as an indictment of the international community’s collective silence, failure and inaction.
