LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Azma Bokhari said Punjab is facing a severe calamity, and Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif is personally visiting flood-hit areas daily to supervise relief operations.
She informed that more than 4.2 million people have been affected, 2.2 million individuals and 1.7 million livestock have been shifted to safe areas, while over 16,000 people have been rescued in just three days. She assured that the government will soon announce a major relief package and will not abandon the victims.
