ISLAMABAD – Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has temporarily suspended its flight operations to Canada this month.
The airline stated that the decision was made to carry out mandatory maintenance of its special Boeing 777 long-range aircraft, which are capable of flying nonstop for up to 17 hours.
Both aircraft will undergo a three-week technical inspection and replacement of parts, a process required every ten years.
The maintenance is aimed at ensuring the planes are fully prepared ahead of the expected passenger rush in the coming months.
PIA apologized to its passengers for the inconvenience, emphasizing that safety and aircraft readiness remain its top priorities.
