Tehran.Iran’s foreign minister warned on Sunday that any attempt to reimpose sanctions on Tehran would exact a price from France, Britain and Germany.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said there is no legal basis for the European “snapback” procedure to be used against Iran and cautioned the three countries that trying to activate it would inflict “irreparable” damage and leave them with nothing to gain.
Iranian officials have also said that if sanctions are reinstated, Tehran would have the option to withdraw from the 2015 nuclear non-proliferation agreement (the JCPOA).
