Islamabad (Staff Report) – Pakistan and Turkiye have agreed to deepen cooperation in the fields of ICT, digital transformation, and innovation, as Turkish Ambassador Irfan Naziroglu met with Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja in Islamabad.
Talks focused on advancing initiatives under the IT Business Council, collaboration on establishing a Technology Park in Pakistan, and creating internship and fellowship exchange programs to provide opportunities for young professionals.
Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja emphasized that, under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s vision of a “Digital Nation,” Pakistan is committed to forging strong digital partnerships with Turkiye to accelerate transformation, drive innovation, and empower youth.
Ambassador Naziroglu reaffirmed Turkiye’s readiness to expand digital linkages and knowledge sharing through joint projects. The Ministry of IT and Telecommunication reiterated its resolve to strengthen international ICT partnerships, ensuring Pakistan’s digital sector emerges as a competitive player in the global economy.
