Hong Kong police are searching for a man in connection with the death of a 35‑year‑old woman who had been reported missing and whose body was later found hidden under a bed in his Kwun Tong flat, where the carcasses of four pets were also discovered.
Police said they received a call on Monday night from the woman’s mother, who reported that her daughter had failed to return home after leaving their flat in Sau Mau Ping.
Given the woman had previously attempted suicide, officers treated the case as high‑risk and visited her boyfriend’s flat in Hei Wah House at Lok Wah South Estate in the early hours of Tuesday.
Police officers and firefighters broke in and discovered the 250 sq ft flat had no power supply. Inside the “small but chaotic” flat, officers discovered three dead dogs and a cat, but initially no sign of the missing woman, police said.
After reviewing security footage, officers confirmed she had not left the building. They revisited the flat and found her body, which had been “well concealed” under the bed.

The victim had multiple head wounds consistent with blows from a hard object, along with fresh bruises on her limbs and face, police said.
