During a meeting with a delegation from a leading Chinese company, the Prime Minister highlighted that Pakistan and China have always stood by each other in times of need. He stressed that Pakistan seeks to elevate its economic cooperation with China to new heights and assured full facilitation for the establishment of Special Economic Zones (SEZs).
Briefing the Prime Minister, the Chinese delegation noted Pakistan’s immense potential in shipbreaking and ship recycling industries. The company announced plans to establish a green shipbreaking yard in Pakistan, aligning with sustainable industrial practices.
Additionally, the delegation expressed keen interest in exploring opportunities in fisheries, fish processing, and date processing, identifying these as promising sectors for future collaboration.
Prime Minister Sharif welcomed the initiatives, terming them a vital step toward economic growth, job creation, and environmentally responsible industrial development.
