KARACHI, (Reuters) – Gold prices in Pakistan surged to record levels on Saturday, approaching PKR 400,000 per tola, following gains in the international market, the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association said.
The price of 24-karat gold rose by PKR 1,900 to PKR 397,700 per tola, while the 10-gram rate increased by PKR 1,629 to PKR 340,963.
In global markets, gold climbed $19 to $3,759 per ounce, extending a recent rally amid price volatility.
