Chase Sui Wonders has signed on for a guest role in the pilot, Deadline reports, with Wonders reportedly playing a vampire named Shirley.

Ryan Kiera Armstrong is set to star in the new take on the supernatural teen drama as a new slayer named Nova, with Sarah Michelle Gellar reprising her role as veteran slayer Buffy Summers.

Additionally, three more actors have joined the Buffy pilot as guest stars that could be promoted to recurring: Merrin Dungey (Alias), as college counselor Ms. LaDuca; Audrey Hsieh(Found), as student Keiko; and Audrey Grace Marshall (The Flight Attendant), as student Jessica.
Earlier this year, Wonders co-starred with Seth Rogen as studio executive Quinn on Apple TV+’s The Studio, which earned a whopping 23 Emmy nominations for its freshman season. She also recently appeared in the big-screen horror remake I Know What You Did Last Summer; her other TV credits include Generation, Bupkis and City on Fire.
In other casting news…
* Sitcom vet Paul Reiser (Mad About You) will co-create and star in an untitled Fox sitcom about a father and son working together in the New Jersey damaged goods business, per Deadline. Reiser will write the pilot script with his son Leon Reiser and The Goldbergs creator Adam F. Goldberg.
* Reasonable Doubt has added Lori Harvey (Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist) as a recurring guest star in Season 3, TVLine has learned. Harvey will play Chelsea, “an unpredictable force with a troubled past that resurfaces to challenge Jax in unexpected ways,” according to the official description.
* John Malkovich will guest-star in the upcoming Apple TV+ comedy Prodigies, Variety reports, with Ayo Edebiri and Will Sharpe starring as former child prodigies who face new struggles as adults.
