The 4th annual Aspen Snow Ball will be a major mother-daughter night out.
The charity fundraiser, set for the St. Regis Aspen Resort on March 21, will fete Goldie Hawn with a Philanthropic Impact Achievement Award and find her reuniting with her daughter, the recently Oscar-nominated Kate Hudson, who will headline as the night’s musical performer. The event, which carries a theme of “pure imagination” inspired by Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, will be emceed by Chelsea Handler.
“Being honored at the Aspen Snow Ball fills my heart with gratitude,” Hawn said in a statement before praising the work of the Children’s Oncology Support Fund. “What inspires me most is the unstoppable spirit of the children and families COSF serves. To be part of a community that lifts them up, celebrates their courage and expands holistic care is one of the greatest joys of my life.”
In addition to her on screen work, Hawn is the founder of MindUP, a mental health organization that focuses on providing children with tools they need to lead smarter, healthier and happier lives. She also steers the Goldie Hawn Foundation. Hawn and her family have long been associated with Aspen as they own a home there and regularly spend holidays and peak seasons there.
“Having the incomparable Goldie Hawn as our honoree is a true privilege and a deeply personal moment for me. Her lifelong commitment to advancing mental-health awareness through MindUP has created real, measurable change for children and families around the world. That mission resonates profoundly with the work we do in supporting children battling cancer, because mental health is inseparable from physical healing,” said Thomas Pierce, COSF founding chairman and chair of Aspen Snow Ball.
Since its inception in January 2023, COSF has raised more than $7 million for pediatric cancer research and wellness programs.
