Beijing, Chinese researchers say they have discovered a potential natural solution to reverse grey hair, based on traditional Chinese medicine practices.
According to the findings, a specific form of Vitamin B12 known as adenosylcobalamin may help restore hair color. Experts explain that hair turns grey when melanocyte cells in the skin become inactive and stop producing melanin, the pigment responsible for hair color.
Traditional Chinese medicine specialists suggest that adenosylcobalamin can reactivate melanocytes. When administered via injection directly to the cells, it reportedly stimulates melanin production, causing grey hair to turn black again.
The treatment involves weekly injections for a period of three to six months.
