LAHORE: Under the instructions of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, a formal rank-pinning ceremony was held at the Central Police Office for officers promoted to the rank of Inspector. A total of 70 officers from the Dera Ghazi Khan region were awarded the rank, with their parents, children, and family members attending the event.
Addressing the ceremony, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar praised the officers and personnel of DG Khan for acting as a fortified barrier against terrorists and criminal elements. He highlighted that the establishment of the Crime Control Department (CCD) has led to a 70% reduction in the crime rate across the province. He issued directives emphasizing strict adherence to a zero-tolerance policy against corruption and misconduct, and underscored the importance of courteous, service-oriented behavior towards citizens. He also urged officers to serve the public with devotion in return for the promotions, welfare initiatives, and motivational support provided.
