Dubai, (Sports Desk) — India defeated Pakistan by six wickets in the high-voltage Group A clash of the Asia Cup T20 2025 in Dubai.
Batting first, Pakistan posted a modest total of 127 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Despite a late surge from Shaheen Afridi, who struck an unbeaten 33 off 16 balls, Pakistan’s batting lineup faltered against India’s disciplined bowling.
Chasing 128, India reached the target comfortably with four overs to spare. Indian openers gave a steady start, and the middle order ensured no major hiccups in the run chase.
Kuldeep Yadav starred with the ball, claiming three wickets, while Jasprit Bumrah and Axar Patel took two each. For Pakistan, Sahibzada Farhan top-scored with 40 runs, but his effort was not enough to set a competitive target.
The result strengthens India’s position in Group A, while Pakistan will now rely on their final group match to keep their hopes alive for a place in the next stage of the tournament.
