MENASHA, Wis. (WBAY) – A harmful algae bloom was detected on the North Shore of Lake Winnebago, health officials announced Monday.
The Menasha Health Department and Winnebago County Public Health shared a message on Facebook that the area of the harmful algal bloom (HAB) included the Menasha Municipal Beach.
The public is asked to avoid swimming at the beach, including pets. Do not let your pets drink the water or lick their fur. If you’ve been in a body of water that is known to have HAB, shower as soon as possible.
