ISLAMABAD,(International Desk) – Pakistan’s government has increased fuel prices, issuing a notification late Tuesday, the finance ministry confirmed.
According to the ministry, the price of high-speed diesel has been raised by 4.04 rupees per litre, bringing it to 276.81 rupees per litre. The price of petrol has also been increased by 4.07 rupees per litre, now set at 268.68 rupees per litre.
Officials said the adjustment reflects global market trends and aims to manage fiscal pressures, though the hike is expected to add to inflationary concerns for consumers already facing a high cost of living.
