KARACHI: The ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has accused the Sindh government of incompetence, claiming that the province’s people have grown weary of the Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) poor governance.
In a statement issued from Karachi, PML-N Sindh spokesperson Asad Usmani said that the entire Sindh government is “terrified of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz,” who, he asserted, is fully focused on serving the people of her province.
Usmani alleged that Sindh ministers, having failed to deliver any public relief, are resorting to “false criticism” of Maryam Nawaz. “The people of Sindh are frustrated by their government’s inefficiency and lack of vision,” he said.
Challenging the provincial leadership, he asked, “Can Sindh’s ministers name even one initiative that has genuinely benefited the people?” He further claimed that when the federal government launches development projects in Sindh, “the provincial government obstructs them instead of cooperating.”
The PML-N spokesperson said his party has always worked for national development and prosperity, adding that the League’s leadership has “broken the begging bowl” and relied on self-reliance and performance.
He recalled that during times of floods and natural disasters in Sindh, Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif stood by the people of the province. “Whether it was the issue of law and order in Karachi or the establishment of power plants, PML-N provided solutions,” he said, citing the Lyari Expressway and Green Bus Project as key examples of the party’s contributions.
Usmani concluded that the people of Sindh are now looking toward the PML-N for change. “This growing support has clearly unnerved the PPP, as the politically aware citizens of Sindh now desire PML-N’s governance in their province,” he said.
