(Report by M.Saleem ) — Pakistan’s Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has warned that any attempt by India to impose a so-called “new normal” along the border will be met with a swift and decisive military reaction.
Chairing the 272nd Corps Commanders’ Conference at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi, the army chief reaffirmed the Pakistan Army’s full readiness to respond to any threat to national security. The meeting reviewed the regional security situation, ongoing counterterrorism operations, and emerging hybrid warfare challenges.
The forum strongly condemned recent provocative statements from Indian officials, calling them a threat to regional peace and stability. Commanders also reiterated their resolve to eliminate terrorism and dismantle all networks operating under foreign sponsorship.
Field Marshal Munir praised the army’s ongoing relief efforts during recent floods and highlighted the importance of maintaining operational readiness and discipline across all formations.
The conference reaffirmed Pakistan’s diplomatic commitment to global peace, welcomed progress in defense cooperation with Saudi Arabia, and reiterated support for the people of Palestine and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
