LAHORE — Report By Farzana Choudhry A ceremony for the distribution of “Himmat Cards” among persons with disabilities from NA-126 was held at Khokhar Palace, Lahore, under the auspices of the Social Welfare Department Punjab.
President of PML-N Lahore and MNA Malik Saif-ul-Malook Khokhar presided over the event and lauded Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s welfare-oriented initiatives, calling them a model of inclusive development. He said the Himmat Card Program will soon be expanded across Punjab to empower persons with disabilities and enable them to live with dignity and independence.
Khokhar emphasized that the vision of PML-N Quaid Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is being implemented in its true spirit — prioritizing service, welfare, and development over rhetoric. “Those who criticize Maryam Nawaz should compete through performance, not words. Progress comes through service, not criticism,” he stated.
Paying tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces, Khokhar commended the Chief of Army Staff and the country’s soldiers for their sacrifices and dedication to national security, calling the martyrs “the true heroes of Pakistan.”
He reiterated the party’s commitment to public service, saying that under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s leadership, numerous welfare and infrastructure projects are progressing rapidly across Punjab.
The event was also attended by Coordinator Muti-ur-Rehman Khokhar, Hafiz Ghulam Hussain, Assistant Secretary Social Welfare M. Ali Janjua, and other officials.
