Trump Calls Pakistan’s Field Marshal Asim Munir His “Favorite General”

Sharm El-Sheikh: U.S. President Donald Trump has described Pakistan’s Field Marshal Asim Munir as his “favorite field marshal,” during a media interaction in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt.

Speaking to the press, President Trump said, “Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is here, but Field Marshal Asim Munir is not present today.” Turning to the Pakistani Prime Minister, Trump added, “Please convey my greetings to Field Marshal Asim Munir.”

President Trump also expressed hope that India and Pakistan would coexist as good neighbors, emphasizing the importance of regional peace.

Earlier, during the same press conference, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that Pakistan had nominated President Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, praising him as “the most deserving leader for the Nobel Peace Prize for saving countless lives and promoting peace globally.”
