Peshawar: The Peshawar High Court has directed the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to administer the oath of office to the newly elected Chief Minister, Suhail Afridi, on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
Chief Justice issued the directive, instructing Governor Faisal Karim Kundi to ensure compliance. The court further ruled that if the governor fails to administer the oath, the Speaker of the Provincial Assembly will be authorized to do so on the same day.
The decision comes amid ongoing political tensions in the province following the recent election of Suhail Afridi as Chief Minister.
