Gold prices witnessed a sudden surge both internationally and in Pakistan on Tuesday.
In the international bullion market, gold jumped $69 per ounce, reaching $4,140 per ounce.
Spot gold rose 0.6% to $4,132.89 per ounce as of 0950 GMT, after hitting a record high of $4,179.48 earlier in the session.

In local markets, the price of 24-carat gold per tola surged by Rs6,900, taking it to a new record of Rs435,100 per tola.
Similarly, gold per 10 grams increased by Rs5,916 to a record Rs373,028.
Spot gold rose 0.6% to $4,132.89 per ounce as of 0950 GMT, after hitting a record high of $4,179.48 earlier in the session.
Meanwhile, spot silver fell 2.5% to $51.01 per ounce, after hitting a record high of $53.60, influenced by the same factors supporting gold and tightness in the spot market.
