Pakistan’s military has expressed strong concern over what it described as “fabricated and provocative propaganda” being repeated by the Indian Army’s top leadership.
In a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Pakistani military’s media wing said it had “noted with deep concern” that Indian military leaders have once again resorted to unfounded claims and inflammatory rhetoric.
According to the statement, the remarks by Indian officials come nearly five months after the “Battle of Haq,” and appear to coincide with the upcoming elections in Bihar and West Bengal — a pattern the ISPR said India’s leadership often follows before every state election.
“It is regrettable that the military leadership of a nuclear-armed state is issuing irresponsible statements under political pressure,” the ISPR said. “The contradictions in the Indian Army’s press releases are so evident that they do not warrant a serious response.”
The ISPR further accused India’s leadership of “manufacturing fictional narratives and fabricating history in a Bollywood-style fashion,” adding that the Indian military and its political leadership “seem unable to accept their defeat in the Battle of Haq.”
The statement asserted that India has yet to come to terms with its “decisive defeat,” claiming that “the world now recognizes India as the true face of cross-border terrorism and a hub of regional instability.”
The exchange marks a renewed escalation in rhetoric between the two nuclear-armed neighbors, amid heightened regional tensions and continued mistrust following years of border disputes and political confrontation.
