Islamabad – Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Afghanistan’s Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi following the devastating earthquake that struck eastern Afghanistan.
According to a statement from the Foreign Office, Dar expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and conveyed Pakistan’s solidarity with the Afghan people during this difficult time.
He assured that Pakistan is ready to extend all possible assistance to Afghanistan in the aftermath of the disaster. Dar also offered prayers and condolences for the families affected by the tragedy.
