Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has claimed that the recent incident in which Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Aleema Khan was hit by an egg was staged.
Naqvi pointed to remarks by Maryam Riaz Wattoo, sister of former First Lady Bushra Bibi, who described the incident as a “drama,” saying: “It’s a well-played act, and people are being fooled. Learn to analyze, connect the dots, and reach the right conclusion.”
Echoing this, the Interior Minister said Bushra Bibi’s sister was clear that the episode was orchestrated, alleging that Aleema Khan “arranged the egg-throwing on herself.”
The comments have sparked fresh political controversy, while PTI has yet to issue an official response.
