According to the notification, the reduction will also apply to K-Electric consumers. NEPRA stated that consumers will receive this relief in their September electricity bills.
It is worth noting that the Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) had requested a reduction of Rs1.69 per unit for the July adjustment.
The tariff cut under fuel adjustment is expected to provide relief of approximately Rs24.5 billion to consumers.
