Islamabad,The security protocol for Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Yahya Afridi, has been significantly reduced as part of a cost-saving measure, the Supreme Court announced on Saturday.
According to the court’s statement, the Chief Justice’s security convoy has been downsized from eight vehicles to just two. The decision, it said, was taken to ensure the “efficient and reasonable use of public resources.”
The statement further noted that security personnel previously assigned to the Chief Justice’s protocol will now be available for other official duties.
