Pakistan: Flight Disruptions Leave 13 Cancellations, 44 Delays Across Major Cities

Karachi/Islamabad – Air travel in Pakistan faced significant disruption as 13 flights were canceled and at least 44 others delayed due to technical and administrative issues, according to the national flight schedule.
A technical fault in a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) ATR aircraft led to the cancellation of six Karachi-bound flights, including services to Gwadar, Turbat, and Sukkur. Two Dubai-bound flights from Karachi (PK-213 and PK-214) were also canceled, along with flights from Lahore to Dubai and Islamabad to Abu Dhabi.
In Peshawar, three international flights to Dubai and Abu Dhabi were canceled. Meanwhile, Karachi saw delays in four flights, while Islamabad experienced delays in 16 flights ranging from one to twelve hours. The Islamabad–Kuala Lumpur flight (PK-894) was delayed by 12 hours.
Additionally, four Islamabad–Skardu flights faced delays of 3 to 5 hours, while six flights from Karachi and fourteen from Lahore were delayed between one and six hours. A private airline flight from Jeddah to Karachi (ER-811) was also delayed by 10 hours.
The widespread cancellations and delays have caused inconvenience for hundreds of passengers across the country.
