Quetta, Pakistan – The Jafar Express, traveling from Peshawar to Quetta, derailed after an explosion on the tracks between Digari Cross Superintendent and Saryab railway stations. The blast occurred approximately 30 to 45 minutes before the derailment.
Railway sources reported that five carriages, including the engine, went off the rails, but no casualties have been confirmed. Frontier Corps (FC) personnel secured the area while rescue operations are underway. Relief teams and a train from Quetta have been dispatched to assist passengers. Railway Minister Hanif Abbasi has ordered an immediate investigation, requesting a report within 24 hours.
