LAHORE: Punjab University (PU) and Sheikh Zayed Hospital have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide practical training for students of Allied Health Sciences.
The signing ceremony, held at PU Vice Chancellor’s office, was attended by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali, Sheikh Zayed Hospital Chairman Dr. Akbar Hussain, Director CAMB Dr. Rehan Sadiq, and Chairman Dr. Manzoor Hussain, among others.
Under the agreement, students in disciplines including Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), Audiology, and Optometry & Vision Sciences will undergo hands-on training at Sheikh Zayed Hospital.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali said the collaboration would help address Pakistan’s shortage of skilled professionals in Allied Health Sciences. Dr. Akbar Hussain added that students would gain experience with advanced medical equipment and specialized skills at the hospital.
