Lahore — Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has dismissed Indian media reports claiming he apologized to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), stating he has “done nothing wrong” and owes no apology.
Speaking to reporters, Naqvi said Indian media was spreading “false and baseless stories,” adding that politics had been brought into cricket by India, damaging the sport’s reputation.
“As ACC President, I was ready to hand over the trophy to India on the same day, and I still am, if they wish,” Naqvi said, extending another invitation to the Indian captain to collect the trophy directly from the Asian Cricket Council office.
He further remarked that the Indian media’s role was to “deceive its own people” and reiterated that Pakistan would not bow to such pressure.
