WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – Former U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened to deploy American nuclear submarines close to Russia’s borders, in what he described as a deterrent move against Moscow’s aggressive policies.
Speaking at a political rally, Trump claimed that during his presidency he prevented “seven potential wars within nine months,” including what he said was a possible nuclear confrontation between Pakistan and India.
The remarks drew sharp attention internationally, with analysts warning that such rhetoric could heighten tensions between Washington and Moscow. The Kremlin has yet to issue an official response.
