Jerusalem/Islamabad – Israeli forces stormed the Global Samoud Flotilla carrying humanitarian aid for Gaza, detaining several activists including Pakistan’s former Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, according to Pakistan-Palestine Forum.
The forum confirmed on social media that Khan was taken into custody by Israeli authorities along with other participants of the flotilla. It also announced a protest demonstration outside the National Press Club in Islamabad against the arrests.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned Israel’s action, calling it a violation of international humanitarian principles. He demanded the immediate release of all detainees and urged the global community to hold Israel accountable for obstructing humanitarian relief to Gaza.
