LAHORE: The Senior Tutor Office of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore, organized a solidarity walk, a debate on “Kashmir’s Right to Self-Determination,” and a motivational talk emphasizing national unity, peace, and the moral responsibility to support oppressed communities, in observance of Kashmir Black Day.
The event aimed to express solidarity with the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir and to condemn the illegal occupation and ongoing atrocities committed by Indian forces.
The walk at the UVAS City Campus was led by Prof. Dr. Aneela Zameer Durrani, Dean, Faculty of Veterinary Science, and joined by Prof. Dr. Yasin Tipu, Senior Tutor; Prof. Dr. Amir Ghafoor Bajwa; Registrar Sajjad Hyder; Director Students Affairs Dr. Muhammad Asad Ali; along with a large number of faculty members, administrative staff, and students.
Participants carried placards and chanted slogans in support of Kashmiris and against the Indian occupation. The walk commenced from the Vice Chancellor’s Office and concluded in front of the Administration Block lawn after circling the City Campus.
Similar activities were also organized at all UVAS campuses, reaffirming the university community’s commitment to stand with the people of Jammu and Kashmir in their struggle for self-determination.
