Lahore, October 27, 2025 — Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has reiterated his commitment to the welfare and rehabilitation of special children of police employees, continuing a series of initiatives aimed at supporting their healthcare and education needs.
According to a spokesperson for the Punjab Police, an additional fund of Rs. 40.5 million has been released to assist children of police personnel suffering from cerebral palsy. Under this initiative, 135 special children have each been provided Rs. 30,000, while Rs. 10,000 per child is being granted monthly for ongoing support.
So far, a total of Rs. 765.1 million has been allocated during the current year for the welfare and rehabilitation of special children of police employees.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar stated that comprehensive measures are being implemented to ensure access to the best medical and rehabilitative care for these children. He emphasized that the police department remains fully committed to making their lives easier, dignified, and better, adding that these efforts reflect the Punjab Police’s broader vision of compassion and inclusivity.
