Lahore, October 27, 2025 — Black Day was observed with fervor and determination under the auspices of the Kashmir Center Lahore and the Jammu & Kashmir Liberation Cell to condemn the Indian military invasion of Jammu and Kashmir.
A protest demonstration and signature campaign were held outside the Lahore Press Club, where a large number of political and social leaders, intellectuals, lawyers, traders, Boy Scouts, and civil society representatives participated to express solidarity with the people of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Prominent figures addressing the gathering included Syed Naseebullah Gardezi (League leader), Ghulam Abbas Mir (senior PPP leader), Maulana Shafi Josh (former MLA), Inam-ul-Hassan (Incharge, Kashmir Center Lahore), Manzoor Gilani Advocate (Senior Vice President, Muslim League Lawyers Wing), Iqbal Qureshi (President, Muslim Conference Lahore Circle), Farooq Azad (Secretary General, Kashmir Action Committee), Aftab Nazki (JKLF leader), Raja Hastam Advocate, Maqsood Chughtai, Atif Mir, Maqbool Awan, Shahid Nadeem, Allama Mushtaq Qadri, Master Muhammad Ashfaq, Busharat Vohra, Faisal Fabani, and Bilal Butt, among others.
Speakers strongly condemned India’s unlawful military aggression and stated that the Indian invasion of Jammu and Kashmir violated the Indian Independence Act and was illegal and unconstitutional. They highlighted that India had contradicted its own principles—those invoked to occupy Hyderabad Deccan and Junagadh—by denying the same right of accession to Muslim-majority Jammu and Kashmir.
They reiterated that the people of Kashmir would accept nothing short of their right to self-determination, a right recognized by the United Nations, the international community, and even India itself. The speakers emphasized that this right is the fundamental and inalienable birthright of the Kashmiri people.
The event concluded with participants pledging continued support for the Kashmiri struggle for freedom, while the organizers expressed gratitude to all political, social, religious, and civil society groups for joining the protest and signature campaign.
